8-24 May 2008 – The Lyric Hammersmith, venue of the original production of The Birthday Party in 1958, will host the 50th anniversary production of this landmark play. Pinter himself will attend the gala performance on 19 May. Events on 14 and 21 May, including panels and workshops, offer frames to the pay and its production.
12 October (US) 23 November 2007 (UK) – Pinter’s latest screenplay Sleuth , starring Michael Caine and Jude Law, and directed by Kenneth Brannagh, went on general release
18 March 2007 – BBC Radio 3 broadcast The Homecoming, with Harold Pinter as Max, Michael Gambon as Sam, Sam West as Lenny and Rupert Graves as Teddy. Gina McKee plays Ruth. Harold Pinter said of the production: “I’m very much looking forward to it. I’m playing the old man. Since I’m now an elderly man, I’m ready for it.”
12-21 October 2006 – Harold Pinter performed in Samuel Beckett’s Krapp’s Last Tape at the Royal Court Theatre
11 October – 11 November 2006, Sheffield theatres presented a Pinter Festival, with productions of The Caretaker, Family Voices, and a rehearsed reading of No Man’s Land. The season is supported by events, talks, and screenings of Pinter’s films.
24 August – 9 September 2006 – The Chichester Film Festival included a ‘Pinter Retrospective’, including Accident, The Birthday Party, The Caretaker, The Go-Between, The Homecoming, The Pumpkin Eater and The Servant.
25 August 2006 – Harold Pinter talks at the Edinburgh festival – RBS Main Theatre
12 March 2006 – Harold Pinter is awarded the 10th European Theatre Prize in Turin
10 December 2005 – Harold Pinter received the Nobel Prize for Literature at an award ceremony in Stockholm, Sweden
7 December 2005 – Harold Pinter to make acceptance speech, ‘Art, Truth and Politics’, for Nobel award in Stockholm
26 October 2005 – Vaclav Havel accepted the Franz Kafka Award in Prague on behalf of Harold Pinter

On 13 October 2005, the Nobel Academy announced that Harold Pinter was to be awarded the 2005 Nobel Prize for Literature.
The BBC broadcast Harold Pinter’s latest drama, Voices, on Monday 10 October 2005.
In October 2005, Faber and Faber published an updated version of Various Voices to include poetry and essays written since 1998. The ‘War’ collection and acceptance speech for the Wilfred Owen prize are amongst the many additions.
In October 2005, Grove Atlantic published Death etc, a collection of Pinter’s more recent political writings.
In July 2005, The British Library published Harold Pinter: A Bibliographical History, compiled by William Baker and John C. Ross.
March 2005: Harold Pinter stated he will no longer write plays, and will concentrate instead on political activity.
Harold Pinter took part in The Right to Dissent organised by the WiPC on 23rd May 2005 at The Players Theatre, London.
The Birthday Party was revived in the UK. The play opened at Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Birmingham on 7 March 2005 and, after a tour of the UK, arrived in London’s West End on 11 April 2005.
Harold Pinter was awarded the Wilfred Owen prize for his war poetry, and received the award in a ceremony in Shrewsbury in April 2005.
